Thomas Russell was a prestigous Englsh jeweller based in Liverpool, who imported Swiss Movements and signed his named to the dials.
Here we have a beautiful 1920s/30s Thomas Russell manual wind 9ct gold cushion case gentlemans watch.
For a watch that is approximately 90-100 years old, the condition of the case, hands and dial are remarkably good condition.
The enamel dial, shows some very light patina, and some ageing around the numbers, though no obvious stainling or marks. The gold numbers are very clean, as are the hands too.
The 9ct Gold cushion case shows very minor wear with no obvious scratches or dinks to any part.
The crystal has very light overall wear, though again, no obvious scratches or marks.
The case diameter is 32mm excluding the crown.
The manual winding Swiss 9 Jewel movement is clean and keeping excellent time.
The gold plated crown, pulls out, winds and sets time perfectly well.
Water resistance not guarenteed and use in water certainly not recommended.
This comes with a brown leather strap with magnetic fold over ends for the solid bar lugs.
This watch is displayed at the Wimborne Antiques Centre though we are also happy to post.
