Seiko Automatic Cal 7S36
Here we have an interesting sports watch.from Seiko. The Seiko 5 is the longest running Seiko line and has been successful for being reasonably priced, very reliable and is a varied range.
This model nicknamed the 'Atlas' pffers a number of features. The first you will notice is the large left side crown. This rotates the chapter ring which has a directional compass design. The main crown which sets the hands, day and date is at 4 and is screw down. The unidirectional divers bezel is easily read, with arabic numerals rather than the usual dot or stick markers.
The thick stainless steel case has a brushed finish, with a polished case back with hardlex crystal displaying the movement. The diver bracelet has a double lock clasp and a brushed and polished finish. The case measures 41mm, with a depth of 12mm.
Understanding the Seiko 5
The '5' stands for a number of features that each watch in this range has. These include:
1. Diaflex mainspring (unbreakable).
2. Diashock - this is a shock resisting design, equivalent to 'Incabloc' used in Swiss watches.
3. Automatic movement.
4. Day/date indication

This watch is in very good condition with minimal wear to the case and the hardlex crystal is scratch free. The bracelet has some very light wear though is not stretched and has no deep scratches or dinks.
