Gold Plated over Sterling Silver

Here on offer we have an eye catching gent's Omega Deville Automatic in a sterling silver gold plated case. This watch differs from most of Omega's 'De Ville' line in that it is bright, large, and eye catching (most De Villes were very slim with a subtle dressy dial). The dial on this watch varies from different shades of purple to a tigers eye/amber colour dependant on the lighting and is quartered. This would have been a very contemporary look in the late 60s to early 70s, especially when this dial is coupled with a thick 24mm wide silver case and a bright gold plating.

This is also relatively large for a De Ville, mainly because of the automatic movement and heavy case. This has polished steel dot hour markers and steel hands and a printed Omega Logo.

This watch comes on a gold plated silver bracelet which currently fits a large wrist. The snap on case back and bracelet buckle are fully hallmarked as can be seen in the images.

The automatic cal 661 is correct for this De Ville, though is a replacement from an earlier watch, so although this dates it to 1965, this watch was more likely made 1970-1973. The movement has been fully serviced so keep excellent ime. This has it original cabochon crown, with it's colour matching the amber tones of the dial.
