Omega Automatic Cal 552

Case material:

Gold Plated

Ref 165.002

Here we have a classic 60s Seamaster from Omega. This has a gold plated case, a dial showing a warm patina and screw down case back. The 5XX series Omega movements produced predominantly in the 1960s are often considered some of the best, making these collectable pieces.

This one has a 34mm gold plated case with a an off white dial which has aged evenly to a warm caramel shade. The hands show some light patination and appear to be in original condition.

The stainless steel case back is plain (correct for this model as they made them with the logo and without) and screws down.

The lugs are straight and the bezel slim giving this watch a dressy feel and a lower profile on the wrist than some other 'beefy lug' models of the 60s. The crown has been replaced and is not signed, the crystal has been polished.

We have fitted a new brown leather strap with a gold plated buckle to this watch.
