|Movement||Automatic Chronometer Cal 504|
|Case Material||18ct Yellow Gold|
Here we have a superb 1960s Omega Constellation in 18ct yellow gold and original condition. (excluding crystal).
The Constellation was Omega's premium dress watch, all of which had chronometer certified movements and either solid gold, steel or gold capped cases.
The dial is original and has taken on a light even patina while the gilt hands are also unrestored and missing the lume fill. The applied hour markers are applied gilt batons which stop at 3 to allow for a nicely bordered date aperture.
The case has a polished finish and ornate attached curved lugs. The cases of these watches were thick too, so the actual gold weight alone is quite high and also means any deep scratches can usually be polished out without wearing the case too thin.
The snap on case back has the Geneva observatory design and the push in crown is original with the Omega logo on it.6
This watch has had the crystal replaced with a lightly domed glass one, most likely to prevent scratching.
We have fitted a quality aftermakret black alligator grain padded leather strap with a gilt buckle.
This watch uses the automatic chronometer cal 504.
This has 24 jewels and a 46 hour power reserve.
Frequency of 19,800
This watch is in excellent conditiom. Minimal cosmetic wear to the case, scratch free crystal and brand new leather strap. The movement is clean and keeping excellent time. Dial showing some light patination.
