Longines Automatic Cal 19AS

Case material:

10Kt Gold Filled

Ref 2224-SW

Here we have an interesting 50s Longines, with a 35mm gold filled case, white cross hair dial and long curved lugs.

This watch could be considered a 'Pre-Conquest' and shares the same movement put into early Conquest models and a dial sharing some characteristics. The minute track is on the inside of the numerals which always gives dials a little more depth and tends to enhance the applied numbers and markers on dials.

The hour markers on this model are alternating arabic numerals and dots, this is a little different from the arrow head markers used in the Conquest models. The lugs give this watch a more delicate and dressy feel as they are long and slightly curved. The case back is a press in with a screw down retaining ring.

The button crown is a replacement.

We have fitted a new brown leather strap.
