|Movement:||Automatic ETA 2789|
|Case material:||Gold Plated|
Here we have a rather charming 1970s Garrard automatic with a relatively large 36mm case, thick gold plating and a day date feature at 3.
Garrard were jewellers to the Royal Family for many years and made high quality timepieces with reliable ETA movements.
This example has a gold colour face with day and date at 3 with orignal hands and markers showing some light ageing.
Both day and date are quick set via the crown.
The case shows only very light wear though none of the plating has worn through so it maintains a very clean look.
The crystal has been replaced and is scratch free.
The automatic cal 2789 is clean and keeping excellent time.
The stainless steel screw down case back originally had an inscription so has been polished.
The crown, winds and sets perfectly well.
We have fitted a new brown padded leather strap with a gold plated buckle.
Water resistance cannot be guaranteed.
This watch offers the opportunity to own a timepiece with some good history, excellent build quality and true vintage charm at a very sensible price.
This is displayed at the Bridge House Antiques Market though we are also happy to post.
