Stainless Steel

Here we have another watch from the Ball Watch Company, one of our favourite brands here, with a rich heritage in watchmaking and an attractive design. This watch has a number of interesting features, mainly the power reserve function which indicates how much of the 42 hours you have left in the mainspring.

The dial has applied polished steel Bregueat style numerals, a date aperture at 12 and a railroad minute track too.  The dauphine hands are lume filled and the red second hand is nicely finished with the ball logo at the centre end. The matte black dial can be ready in the dark due to the gas tubes that are fitted to the end of each hour marker and the 3 hands. This provides a low light that will last 25 years.

The 43mm case has a thin polished bezel around the sapphire crystal which sits on a satin finish steel case.

The case back is screw down, as is the crown which sets the quick set date. This is fitted to it's original black croc grain strap with stainless steel butterfly clasp.

The movement should not be ignored either. This uses the ETA 2892/A2 which is a top grade movement utilised by Tag heuer (Calibre 7) Omega (calibre 1120) as well as Longines and many others. It is also popular as a base for chronographs.

Original boxes and swing tag are included though no paperwork.

This watch originally retailed at over £3500.
